Our Story

Railson is a Brazilian pastor born and raised in the Amazon basin. Heidi is a missionary nutritionist from Oregon, USA . We met in Brazil in 1998 and were married the following year. We have two grade school children. We pastored a Vineyard church in Porto de Moz until moving to Almeirim in 2004, where we worked for two years on another church plant. This second church plant was conveniently melded together with another local plant which became Igreja da Paz in 2006. Since the beginning of 2007 we have lived in Monte Dourado (still within the municipality of Almeirim), working with a growing local church, Igreja Apostólica Fonte da Vida, while developing a tentmaking project. This project was a wireless Internet service provider known as  Amaster. We have since sold out of the business and are preparing to invest the proceeds in Christian educational radio.

Both of us preach and minister weekly in the Portuguese language. Heidi translates English-based literature and teaches English as a part-time job. We are currently team teaching a leadership training seminar held at the church on Sunday mornings. Our church is firm on the Word, discipleship, and mid-week cell groups. We love worship through music and our services always reflect that fact.

Our most prominent project at the moment is the formation of the Fundação Jubileu, a Brazilian non-profit foundation which will be a vehicle for registering the proposed radio station. If you would like to donate toward this special project, become a monthly sponsor, or receive our quarterly newsletters, please contact us! All gifts are tax-deductible.
